Spell Caster Trick Bag and Fool Doll Support the Carousel Numinous with your own Trick Bag or Fool's Choice Doll. Carousel Numinous is an interactive Carousel experience wth a spiritual impact. Through its engineering, architecture and aesthetics, the Ride is an embodiment of the concept that all religions arise from human interaction with a phenomenon they feel is outside themselves.

YOU can be part of the Carousel Numinous Theme Camp. Your gift$ not only help to build the Carousels, they are transformed into a piece of our collaborative self-expression. Hallo Numinous Campers...

We are all very focused and energized to work on the cars and construction in the coming weeks. John asked me to further explain to the group the various opportunities for our friends and family to participate in the creation and experience of Carousel Numinous, even if they aren't going to Burning Man.

This is not about work parties! It's about truck rental.

First of all - just for showing interest in our project, we will send a PicturePostcard, and they will receive a Carousel Numinous sticker (very cool!) So, everyone gets one of those that decides to "join us" - described below.

Here's how the rest of it works:

Often when going on pilgrimages, people do not go for themselves. They go for a loved one - A relative whose business failed, or a friend that's ill. They go to the special rock, building, guru, diva - offer a sacrifice, and ask for healing, or prayers, etc. for themselves, and often for those who are unable to make the journey.

We are going on a pilgrimage. Each Numinous Camper will carry a minimum of 10 "trick bags" containing the well wishes, deep desires, and simple requests of their friends, family members, co-workers, and anyone you ever sponsored for an AidsRide.

These requests will be an integral part of the Tower Illuminous Numinous, the central tower that pulses with the energy of the spinning Carousels. (The more trick bags the tower has, the cooler it will be.) On August 30, the well-energized wishes hopes and good-luck-needs of your friends and loved ones will be released in the powerful experience of The Burn ceremony - they will become the kindling for the Burning Man fire. Those of us on the pilgrimage - the campers - you and me - are responsible for collecting the $25 sacrifices and the prayers/symbolic items of people who are special to us, but have to stay here, in the WorkADay world.

Should you have friends who are especially interested in our project, and would like to give greater support, they will receive a very special gift. Their collector's item, one of a kind Fool Doll will be a collaborative work of art created by, and adorned with, the gifts of gratitude from those who experience the Carousel Numinous alive. This series of dolls will be based on Jenny's SideShow Sweetie pattern, but will be larger. The basic form will be brought to the desert to be adorned and molded by our visitors. Not only will our visitors add their own personal gifts to the doll, we will have materials, extra body parts, etc. We expect that this activity will be great fun at the camp, and will create the most fabulous thank yous for anyone giving a gift of just $50.

So here's all you need to do:

1. Check out the attached flyer. It explains an overview of the project, the different levels of participation, and how to do it. It's legal size.

2. Collect 10 flyers from John (or print your own)

3. Write your name at the very bottom of the order form

4. Share the flyer, and the concept above with a friend. (Bring an envelope with you) Ask them if there is any wish they would like you to take. If so, have them complete the information on the flyer, and collect a check and anything they give you for the trickbag in the envelope. (they can also send it in to Bird'sNest, but they won't so just collect everything right there.)

5. Send or bring the $ and form to Bird'sNest. HAve any checks made out to PASS, which is Buf's account and the Camp Numinous account.

We will send them confirmation of their gift, and a sticker right away, with a collector's postcard to follow.

It is important that you talk to people personally rather than just send them the flyer. It makes it easier for people to participate if they can see that you are passionate about it, and it has meaning for you.

Please let me know if there is something you don't understand, question you have, or anything we can do to make this easier. Of course for the cash, but equally as important for the Carousel, the more wishes we bring with us, the better!
